Java VR |
| This is the most widely used format for interactive VR panoramas. All popular Web browsers are designed to automatically play back Java content. The main disadvantage is the poorer performance when showing larger higher resolution images. Sometimes panning can become "sticky" on some platforms. |
|
QuickTime VR |
| This is a high performance format which can handle higher resolution files for full screen presentations much better than Java. All Macintosh computers have QuickTime installed while Windows PC computers may need to have this additional free software downloaded from the Apple website. You will need QuickTime to view the QTVR examples in this website.

Virtual Tours |
| These are presentations containing multiple VR panoramas inter-linked to provide travel from one scene to another. There are numerous ways of achieving this such as "hotspots" on a map, or on each panorama, or via standard http links.

Virtual Tours can be produced for either Java, QuickTime or Flash. |

Panoramic Photographs |
| Full 360 degree views or partial panoramas can be used in printed media such as magazines and large format printing. High resolution CMYK image files are provided, these can be 100- 200Mb or larger if required.
360 degree panoramas have an unusual and sometimes abstract perspective which can be visually captivating to an audience. This can be seen in many of the images opposite. |
